It seems like a long time since we last...spoke. Hmm. Forgive me if I seem a bit, shall we say, unpolished, as I launch this ship. I realize you are used to seeing me in a much more controlled composure. But, on a fresh adventure I embark. I will hopefully learn some sense of what I am doing quickly, but please bear with me along the way. Should you see rocks on the horizon, please call out!!
After 20 years in the restaurant business in Houston and a lifetime in my family, I've decided to try my hand at telling my tales from the sidelines instead of from the battleground. As deliciously fun as it is to throw yourself into the never ending energy of working the floor, it might be time for me to "coach" as opposed to playing the game. That is not to say that I have lost a step. But, rather to imply that my philosophy and guidance are perhaps my greatest assets, at this point.
As I get the hang of things I hope to create a place for reviews of restaurants and markets and local foodie news. I hope to have a bit of wine and food and shopping. Advice on tools and gadgets and tips from my time in the trade. (I'll not bore you with a bio now, but that, will be available,too)
